About this spot
In 1933, a flood of the Vidourle destroyed an arch of the Roman bridge following the collapse of the pile closest to the left bank. The Roman road that went from Italy to Spain passed by this bridge, called Pont de la Monnaie or Pont Saint-Ambroix. At the end of the 19th century, it still had two arches and four piers.
